AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT FROM DFW
TO PROVIDENCIALES
PROVIDENICIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS—WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29, 2007
American Airlines said Tuesday it will launch new service from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Panama City, Panama; and to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos islands beginning Dec. 15.
The Fort Worth-based airline said it will operate one daily southbound flight to Panama City on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and one daily northbound flight to D/FW on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
The D/FW-Providenciales route will operate one day each week, with both southbound and northbound flights on Saturday.
American (NYSE: AMR) said it will use its 148-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft to fly both routes.
"Both routes nicely complement our existing service to these locations from Miami and New York," said Peter Dolara, American's senior vice president - Miami, Caribbean and Latin America. "These departures will provide new opportunities for millions of North Texas travelers, as well as easy one-stop connections through D/FW for those in the central and western United States."
The Providenciales, Turks and Caicos islands are tourist destinations located about 575 miles southeast of Miami.
